Bio Chemistry
The Department of Biochemistry was established in the year 2004 as a self finance course and recognized by the Government of Tamilnadu in the year 2010. At present the department offers U.G , P.G and Ph.D. Programme in Biochemistry with a special emphasis on basics of biochemistry, advanced subjects and innovative techniques in Modern biology. The department is effectively run by the qualified and well experienced faculty members who contribute their service to young students and research scholars. Further, the department is well equipped with various research equipments like UV-VIS Spectrophotomer, Cooling centrifuge, Semiautomated analyser, Fluorimeter, Muffle Furnace, Laminar air flow and ultracentrifuge. The department has organized many State level and National level Conferences with funding support from UGC and ICMR.
