The Internal Quality Assurance Cell is formulated on the basis of recommendation given by NAAC. In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council proposes that every accredited institution establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a part of post-accreditation quality sustenance measure for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation. Quality enhancement is a continuous process of an institution, in this process IQAC plays a major role. IQAC become a part of an institution's system and work towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC will make a significant and meaningful contribution in the post-accreditation phase of institutions. During the post-accreditation period, the IQAC will channelize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence. The IQAC of Rajah Serfoji Govt College (Autonomous) was established on 24.07.2008 and the following faculty members served as the coordinators of the cell.

| Functions of IQAC

• To organize quality related workshop for faculty members, nonteaching staff and research scholars
• To prepare of annual quality assurance report (AQAR)
• To assist in design and implementation of annual plan for Institution level activities which enhance the quality of the institution
• To respond and act on feedback from students
• To fix up benchmarks in various academic as well as administrative activities of the college
• To development innovative practices in various programmes as much as possible which leads to the quality enhancement of the institution
• act as a nodal body of the Institution for augmenting quality related activities/issues
