Mathematics
The department of mathematics was started in the year 1957 with undergraduate degree in English medium. In 1969, undergraduate degree in tamil medium was started, M.sc and M.Phil Programmes were started in 1970 and 2008, respectively. Ph.D Programme was stared in 2012. At present there are two batches in M.sc Mathematics and more than 350 students has been studying in this department. 7 Faculty members are guiding M.Phil(Fulltime) and also 7 Faculty members are guiding Ph.D (Fulltime and Part time).
